There are only 2 worldviews, “God” and “notGod.” Scripture tells us that “all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the Heavens (Psalm 96:5). Technically the only Theistic worldview is the Christian worldview as there are no other “gods” only idols.

In Romans 1: 18-21 we are told that all people know that God exists and are “without excuse” for their suppression of that knowledge. To what degree God gives the professed unbeliever (v. 24) over to their suppression of the truth will depend on the individual, but clearly we can see that they are culpable for their condition.

Since there is only one God, the God of Christianity, all other worldviews necessarily fall into the “notGod” category and can be addressed in the same general way. Engaging people of other worldviews can be as simple as telling them what the Bible says about them, that they know THE God, but are suppressing the truth about Him.

The most effective way for a bank teller to identify counterfeits is by studying the genuine article, in the same way, Christians must know their Bibles in order to be able to identify and correct the lies that people of other worldviews are trying to sell them.

Since Scripture also tells us that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7, and “(in Christ) are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2;2,3), an effective methodology when engaging the professed unbeliever can be to expose their inability to justify knowledge apart from the God of the Bible.

Sye Ten Bruggencate of proofthatgodexists.org teamed up with Cory McKenna and Edin Azabagic from “The Cross Current” to write “one on one” witnessing tracts aimed at equipping the Christian for engaging people of other worldviews. The tracts are better served as a teaching tool for the Christian, but can be left with the person being engaged so they can look up the points for themselves.

Currently there are 8 worldview tracts which can be purchased through our store.
